1. How MomRadar Works & AI Accuracy
MomRadar uses your device's camera to monitor video feeds in real-time. To identify safety hazards, selected video frames are transmitted securely to our AI processing partner (OpenAI) for analysis.
AI Limitations: You acknowledge that AI models are probabilistic and may produce "false negatives" (failing to detect a danger) or "false positives" (incorrectly flagging a danger). The service is provided "as is" and "as available."
2. Information We Collect
- Video Data: We collect temporary video frames solely for the purpose of analysis. Visual data is processed ephemerally and discarded.
- Usage Data: We collect anonymous logs regarding app crashes and performance to improve the user experience.
- Contact Information: If you enable notifications, we store your email address or phone number securely to deliver alerts.
3. Data Processing & Retention
Our Privacy Commitment:
- Ephemeral Processing: Video frames are used for processing only. They are not used to train AI models and are deleted by the provider after analysis.
- No Cloud Storage: Helping Robots LLC does not store or archive your video feed on our servers. Once analyzed, visual data is gone.
4. Third-Party Services
We utilize the following third-party services to function. By using MomRadar, you acknowledge that we are not responsible for the security practices of these providers:
- OpenAI: Used for image analysis and hazard detection.
- SendGrid: Used to deliver email notifications.
- UltraMSG API: Used to send WhatsApp alerts.
- Apple (APNS): Used for iOS push notifications.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Helping Robots LLC and its members shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including personal injury) resulting from the use or failure of the application. Our total liability for any claims shall not exceed the amount paid by you to use the service.
6. Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising from this policy or your use of MomRadar shall be settled by binding arbitration in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Helping Robots LLC is registered. You waive your right to participate in any class-action lawsuits.
7. Children’s Privacy
While our app is designed to monitor children, we do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information (PII) from children. The video feed is used strictly for safety monitoring by the parent or guardian and is not linked to a child's identity.
